About the role

We are seeking experienced instructors to teach in our Masters Electronics Engineering Technology programs. This role is ideal for professionals with relevant industry experience who can share their expertise and make a positive impact on our students.

Responsibilities

  • Share your specific industry experiences to help students achieve learning outcomes
  • Provide practical hands-on instruction
  • Support busy adult learners evenings and weekends
  • Work in a 5-week accelerated course environment
  • Be the first point of contact to troubleshoot software or technical concerns for students

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution
  • Familiarity with Multisim and Labview software
  • Experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Familiarity with CAD software
  • 3-5 years industry experience in an electrical and/or manufacturing engineering field required; 7+ years preferred
  • Industry experience must be within the last 5 years
  • Strong technical certification or licensure (if required)
  • Experience in Analog & Digital Electronics, Programmable Logic Controllers, Microcontrollers, Field Programmable Logic Arrays, FPGAs, Communication Systems, Robotics & Smart Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Instrumentation and Measurements, Mechanical Systems, Machine Learning, Computer Aided Drafting & Design, Engineering Mechanics

Qualifications

  • Appropriate technical certification or licensure (if required)

  • Ability to quickly build connections with students using strong interpersonal skills (including approachability and empathy)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a 5-week accelerated course environment
  • Comfortable being the first point of contact to troubleshoot software or technical concerns for students
