St George Preca School is seeking a qualified educator for a full-time Physical Education teaching position, commencing in the 2027 school year. St George Preca Parish Primary School is part of the Parish of St Catherine of Siena, Caroline Springs, with an enrollment of approximately 742 students from Prep to Grade 6. We seek an educator dedicated to developing their professional knowledge and skills for the benefit of their students.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education.
- Exhibit high-level interpersonal skills with colleagues, parents, and students, fostering positive relationships.
- Inspire and encourage students with a love of learning.
- Contribute as a member of a Professional Learning Team, collaborating on planning and teaching for continual improvement.
- Teach effectively to diverse learning needs, enriching the learning experience for all students.
- Use data to inform teaching practices.
- Plan, teach, assess, and report on the Physical Education and Sports program for 19 classes using the Victorian Curriculum as the main reference.
- Set, monitor, and manage the budget for Physical Education equipment and resources.
- Coordinate and oversee School Athletics & Swimming Carnivals.
- Assist senior school class teachers with inter-school organization for Summer and Winter seasons.
- Coordinate school representatives for zone and regional swimming, cross-country, and athletics.
- Organize whole-school events such as the Colour Fun Run and Footy Roadshow.
- Attend professional development and share insights with staff.
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth.
Requirements
- Registration (or eligibility) with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (V.I.T).
- Preferably have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School.
