One to One/Therapeutic Behavior Aide
About the role
Join a collaborative learning environment supporting the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of students with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and other health impairments.
Responsibilities
- Serving as a paraprofessional educator or 1:1 dedicated aide, supporting the teacher and assigned students.
- Documenting student progress and providing additional instruction and structure aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives.
- Providing educational and adaptive behavior support.
- Implementing behavior intervention and treatment strategies.
- Leading classroom activities under supervision.
Requirements
A high school diploma or GED.
Qualifications
Experience in special education, registered behavior technician (RBT), or board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) roles is preferred.
Skills
Strong communication skills, patience, and ability to work effectively with individuals with special needs.
