One to One/Paraprofessional 7a-3p

About the Role

We are hiring Paraprofessionals at The Bancroft School in Mt. Laurel, NJ. This is a full-time, in-person position with hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. The hourly rate is $20.07-$22.63.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Teacher in planning and implementing classroom curriculum to meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of assigned students.
• Aids in assessing students' abilities and capabilities, and develops and implements individual-specific lesson plans and activities that address IEP goals.
• Helps maintain a classroom environment conducive to academic and social learning by guiding students toward appropriate behavior.
• Assists in the proper utilization of classroom equipment and materials, and makes recommendations for new supplies and curriculum materials.
• Observes and tracks student behavior, gathers data, performs calculations, and creates graphic illustrations to monitor proficiency and performance levels.
• Provides ongoing assistance in managing student behavior to ensure a safe and secure classroom environment, and reports any safety hazards or property damage to the Teacher.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of direct support experience, preferably in an educational or classroom-based setting.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
