Starting pay: $20.50 per hour with an additional $1.50 shift differential from 6p – 6a. Hours: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM (2nd shift with flexibility).

About the Role

This full-time position is part of the EHS (Safety) Department at our Stilwell, OK frozen desserts facility. You will report to the EHS (Safety) Manager and collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager and site management team.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect machinery, processes, and procedures to ensure good health and safety practices.
  • Work with contractors to ensure safety policies are followed.
  • Monitor the production line and verify workers follow safety rules.
  • Conduct daily safety training for new and current employees.
  • Lead regular safety training (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly).
  • Perform environmental inspections as directed by the EHS (Safety) Manager.
  • Examine machinery, working environments, and structures; measure noise, heat, and vibrations; and collect photographs and samples as needed.
  • Ensure workers are provided with suitable protective equipment (e.g., ear protection, gloves, clothing).
  • Investigate procedures for hazardous environments, harmful substances, accidents, and complaints.
  • Serve as a member of the facility Confined Space Entry Team and Hazardous Materials Response Team.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with USDA, OSHA, state, federal, and company regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • 1+ years of production experience and a natural curiosity for employee safety.
  • Intermediate PC skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and reasoning skills to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to learn and use safety computer systems.
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus.
  • Stand and walk on concrete for long periods.
  • Work in a range of temperatures and conditions, including exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, hair/beard nets, gloves, and safety shoes or rubber boots.
