About the role
Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care to Oncology population. Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Adheres to rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living for oncology patients.
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or completion of a nursing fundamental course with active enrollment in a nursing program (LPN, ASN, ADN, BSN).
- For non-CNA nursing students: submit transcripts to department manager at least twice per calendar year, provide authorization to test (ATT-NCLEX RN or ATT-NCLEX-PN), schedule, and pass the test within 90 days of graduation.
- Successful completion of Moffitt’s Oncology Technician orientation and checklist within the first ninety days of employment.
- Basic familiarity with nursing procedures and medical terminology.
- Fundamental computer skills.
- Demonstrated communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
Pay
Salary Range: $16.75 - $25.27. Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
