Position Highlights
Position: Patient Care Tech
Location: Evanston Hospital
Full Time/Part Time: 40 hr/wk
Hours: Monday-Friday, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, rotating weekends
Required Travel: no
What You Will Do
- Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care
- Absorb Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
- Implement a patient specific care plan
- Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit
- Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high quality patient experience
What You Will Need
- Education: Eligible to work in the U.S., and completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred
- Licenses: N/A
- Certifications: Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required.
- Experience: 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred
