Oncology/Surgical ICU Registered Nurse - Part Time

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a specialized ICU focusing on oncology and surgical patients. The RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, promoting patient and family-centered care while ensuring safety and quality compliance. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, participating in multidisciplinary teamwork, and documenting care activities. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill oncology and surgical patients
• Coordinate and communicate care plans across the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on illness management and post-discharge needs
• Participate in professional development activities and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensure as an RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred
• No minimum experience required; 2+ years of ICU or relevant experience is preferred
• Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment
• Preferred certifications include CCRN, Oncology Certified Nurse, or Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse Certification
