Oncology Research Specialist - Pediatrics

About the role

Aids in the documentation of oncology research projects and clinical trials within the department. Participates in study start-up activities, collaborates with Principal Investigators and others to initiate new research projects. Manages protocol amendments, deviations, and informed consent changes ensuring compliance and audit-readiness. Maintains study documentation and filing systems, data repositories, and systems. Monitors clinical trial compliance, reports issues, and ensures patient eligibility for research studies. Contacts research staff for scheduling tests and treatments as per protocol. Collects and documents data for patients enrolled in clinical trials.

  • Maintains study documentation and filing systems, data repositories, and systems.
  • Makes sure clinical trial compliance is monitored, issues are reported appropriately, and patient eligibility is assessed.
  • Contacts research staff for scheduling tests and treatments as per protocol.
  • Collects and documents data for patients enrolled in clinical trials.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred, health/ science preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred, especially cancer care and/or clinical research.
  • Certification in clinical research (SoCRA, ACRP, RAPS, etc.) preferred.

Qualifications

Pay

$25.30 - $37.95 per hour based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.
