Oncology Lead APP
Position Requirements
- Experience as an experienced Advanced Practice Provider
- New graduate PAs are not considered for this role
- Newer NPs may be considered if they have substantial, recent oncology experience
What You’ll Do
- Provide care for Advanced Prostate Cancer (APC) patients
- Prescribe and manage advanced therapeutics
- Conduct peer-to-peer reviews for PSMA PET imaging and APC medications
- Collaborate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, and nurse navigation
- Screen patients for advanced therapies and clinical trial eligibility
- Conduct chart audits and support quality initiatives
- Determine appropriateness of APC referrals
- Develop and deliver educational content for APC Navigators and urology colleagues
- Attend monthly tumor boards and quarterly business reviews (KPI and operational discussions)
- Participate in quarterly oncology journal clubs or educational events
- Attend at least one annual conference focused on urologic oncology

- Discussing difficult topics, including progression of disease and hospice care
- Patient-centered decision-making without personal bias
- Making independent clinical decisions while recognizing when collaboration is required
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
- Board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- Licensed or eligible for Ohio licensure
- Minimum of two years of NP or PA experience
- Prior oncology experience required
- Strongly Preferred: Experience treating advanced-stage cancer patients, Urologic oncology experience (highly desirable)
