Oncology Infusion Nurse Practitioner ( APRN)
Care New England is seeking a full-time Oncology/Infusion Nurse Practitioner to join our renowned Breast Health Center at Women & Infants Hospital. This provider will be an integral part of a collaborative, team-oriented department delivering quality medical care through advanced technologies and a full array of treatment options, including mammography, breast MRI, surgery, genetic counseling, lymphedema rehabilitation, survivorship programs, and integrative therapy services such as nutritionists, navigators, therapy dogs, and support groups.
About the Role
Join an established multispecialty breast health group specializing in breast and gynecologic oncology care. The Infusion Center provider will respond to clinical queries, perform patient assessments and monitoring, manage medication dosing, monitor for adverse reactions, and provide education throughout treatment. The role ensures timely access to care, continuity, and a seamless patient experience using the EPIC systemwide platform.
Responsibilities
- Respond to clinical queries from patients and care teams
- Perform patient assessments and ongoing monitoring during infusion treatments
- Calculate and manage medication dosing for chemotherapy and other infusion therapies
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions related to treatment
- Provide patient and caregiver education throughout the treatment process
- Ensure timely access to care and continuity of the patient experience
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Certified by ANCC or AANPCB
- Active Rhode Island APRN, RN, CSR, and DEA license or eligible
- 1+ years of clinical experience in oncology, women’s health, or surgical care preferred
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and managing treatment-related toxicities preferred
Schedule
Monday – Friday days; no call required.
