Oncology Clinic/Infusion Center @ Wilmot Cancer Institute at Batavia Nurse Manager

Responsibilities

Maintains 24 hour-a-day accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on assigned outpatient unit.

Oversees and directs unit activities including standards development, human resource management, assessment of resource needs and utilization, staff development and communication within nursing practice as well as among other disciplines and departments.

Oversees all performance improvement activities at the unit level and participates in committees at all levels within the institution.

Requirements

FT position available, primarily days.

Recent acute care and Hematology-Oncology experience required.

Demonstrate ability to function in a leadership role.

Candidate must have the ability to work cohesively in a team or independently, have advance skills of organization, communication and the ability to multi-task.

Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be autonomous in decision-making, and have excellent assessment skills.

Successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to the UR medicine’s core values of people, excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

BSN required, MS will be required in 5 years.
