Onboarding Coordinator
About the role
As the Onboarding Coordinator, you will ensure new hires are onboarded effectively and efficiently for their assigned areas. You will serve as the first point of contact for new hires and hiring managers regarding onboarding inquiries and report directly to the Onboarding Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ensure communication and hospital clearance are completed and relayed to the new hire and the hiring team.
- Send HR and recruiting-related correspondences (e.g., applications, online documents, offer letters) while ensuring accuracy and data compliance.
- Document, track, and maintain applicant records and disposition of engagements in Jobvite.
- Provide high-level customer service to internal partners, including recruiters, HR business partners, hiring managers, and new hires/applicants.
- Develop and suggest enhanced onboarding tasks.
- Assist in coordinating new hire orientation.
- Ensure rules and policies are followed or escalate to leadership for approval.
- Create an exceptional onboarding experience for all new hires.
- Facilitate the onboarding process, including communication to new hires and their hiring managers, and completion of all onboarding requirements.
- Provide regular and real-time updates on onboarding status to the new hire, hiring manager, and other parties, as well as coordinate start details.
- Maintain employee files throughout the onboarding process.
- Enter and manage the background and drug testing process for new hires.
- Partner with Internal HR for any adjudication required.
- Audit all new hire paperwork and documentation in Jobvite.
- Ensure a smooth handoff of the new hire relationship to HR and hiring managers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 4-year college degree (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
