About the role
The System Administration & Hosting role supports OnBase customers in self-hosted and KeyMark Cloud environments. Successful candidates will perform both functions: Administrators are embedded in customer environments to provide 1st and 2nd tier support, handle day-to-day maintenance, plan and execute upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and lead smaller implementation projects. Hosting Engineers deploy, maintain, and upgrade OnBase systems within the KeyMark Cloud infrastructure. They also provide application and infrastructure assistance for Professional Services projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support directly in customer environments.
- Install, configure, maintain, support, upgrade, and implement small projects on customer OnBase systems.
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with customer administrators, management, and stakeholders.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain customer OnBase systems in the KeyMark Cloud environment in coordination with IT/IS.
- Provide application and infrastructure assistance for Professional Services projects.
- Manage support tickets in customer and KeyMark ticketing systems.
- Maintain OnBase training and certifications and pursue additional product training as services offerings grow.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT/IS, Customer Support, Professional Services, Sales, and Finance to deliver top-tier customer service.
- Contribute to team process improvement and quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Certified OnBase Installer
- Activities include sizing and creating database and disk groups, configuring the Document Types, keywords, import processes, users and security, custom queries, and other common OnBase functionality.
- Familiar Modules Should Include Document Imaging, Mailbox Importer, COLDWeb Server, Email Integration, Document Retention, IdSDI, PIM.
- Certified Web/App Server Installer
- Activities include ensuring server is installed with IIS and appropriate .Net Framework.
- Certified Workflow Engineer
- Designing and implementing one or more OnBase LifeCycles to support required business process automation for the customer.
- Advanced understanding of OnBase documents, keywords, rules, actions, and how these are used to form a logical process flow.
- The Following OnBase Certifications Are Preferred But Not Required
- Certified OnBase API and Workview Engineer: Understanding the various API’s available, being able to choose the appropriate one, and effectively implementing the required integration.
- A working knowledge of some programming language is expected (VB, C#, other), C# preferred
- Understanding data modeling, User Interface, and application design concepts
- Understanding integration requirements for automation and customization of the OnBase application
- Strong comprehension and experience with deploying relational databases and a working knowledge of T-SQL or similar database language
- Experience administering Windows Server environments, including IIS and .NET Framework configuration
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and SSL certificates, as they relate to application hosting
- Experience managing or supporting enterprise applications in a managed services or hosted environment
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with ability to resolve complex technical problems
- Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, JSON
- Understanding of KeyMark business, and the products and services offered in the different verticals
