On the Road Field Service Technician

Stalmic Distributors, Inc. is on a mission to help feed communities and is seeking a Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain meat‑room equipment. New hires receive on‑the‑job training to work with a variety of meat processing and packaging equipment, then travel in a company‑assigned truck to customer locations for installations, preventative maintenance, and break‑fix repairs.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout the assigned area to install, maintain, and repair meat packaging and processing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to break‑fix calls from customers.
• Rotate on‑call duties for weekends (earning 24HUG pay) and have the option to work holidays (also earning 24HUG pay).
• Utilize a company truck, phone, tablet, and credit card for on‑the‑road expenses such as meals, hotels, and fuel.
• Participate in quarterly team goals and earn additional rewards.

Qualifications

• Commitment to Stalmic Distributors’ core values: “get in the game,” “own it,” and “be hungry.”
• Ability to pass a drug screen, maintain a clean motor vehicle record, and maintain a clean background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent (desired).
• Ability to read manuals and write invoices (required).
• Experience in electrical and/or equipment repair (a plus, not mandatory).
• Experience with meat‑room equipment in a grocery store, butcher shop, or meat plant (a plus).
• Experience working on the road (bonus, not required).
• Versatility to work independently and as part of a team (highly desired).
• Familiarity with NetSuite (invoicing, CRM, Employee Center, etc.) (a plus).

Compensation

Salary range: $45,000 – $55,000 per year.
