About the role

We're hiring a full-time On-Site Service Representative in the Asheville, NC area. The On-Site Service Representative (OSR) supports assigned customers by managing their inventory, providing outstanding customer service, and driving account growth through Grainger’s inventory management (KeepStock) program. OSRs collaborate with partners to implement sales strategies and help customers understand how Grainger can address their MRO needs.

Responsibilities

  • Service multiple customer locations.
  • Receive and stock purchased products at designated customer locations, ensuring product stocking levels by scanning for reordering as inventory is depleted.
  • Resolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyalty.
  • Follow designated routes defined by routing software tools and maintain route guides.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process, and cycle time.
  • Comply with safety and inspection requirements of the facility where the service is provided.
  • Create new orders by engaging with customers to identify additional product needs.
  • Probe for customer needs during each site visit and collaborate with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings.

Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience in a selling or service environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift 25 to 60 lbs and/or work in difficult positions.
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence and required levels of automobile insurance.

Skills

  • Collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Ability to handle technical and operational issues.

Pay

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this hourly position is $19.86 to $24.81 per hour. Individual base pay will depend on factors such as geographic work location and relevant experience and skills. The range is subject to change, and compensation may be higher or lower than the posted range.
