On-Site Safety Supervisor

Ideal Building Solutions is a leading roofing company dedicated to providing high-quality services and fostering a culture of safety and excellence. As an On-Site Safety Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all job sites adhere to strict safety and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough safety inspections and compile detailed reports on safety observations, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to maintain high standards of workmanship and quality in roofing projects.
• Maintain the availability, condition, and proper usage of personal protective equipment and tools, ensuring they meet safety standards.
• Organize and lead weekly toolbox talks or safety meetings to discuss relevant topics, share best practices, and reinforce safety protocols.
• Safely operate a company vehicle to travel between job sites and perform job duties, maintaining the vehicle in a clean and functional condition.
• Act as a resource and advocate for the well-being of crew members, addressing any concerns related to safety, health, or working conditions promptly and empathetically.

Qualifications

• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety) is preferred but not required.
• Experience installing metal accessories such as gutters, downspouts, fascia, coping, drip edge, etc., in accordance with regulations.
• Experience installing roofing systems such as TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, fully adhered, mechanically attached, rhinobond, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey safety information and instructions.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and influence others to prioritize safety.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in safety practices.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive hourly pay range of $20.00-$25.00/hour, with extensive travel opportunities and full coverage of travel and lodging expenses. The position is full-time and eligible for overtime, with up to 30 days of travel expected for candidates based in Georgia.
