About the role
IST Management Services is seeking a highly experienced On-Site Operations Manager to join our team at a Higher Education location. The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of experience in managing facilities management, client and vendor relations, and a strong commitment to professional development.
Responsibilities
- Maintain effective written and oral communications with clients, employees, and the operations team
- Serves as point of contact for site Mail services, ensuring client service level requirements are met
- Support, lead, and manage site and vendor initiatives and requirements
- Ensure Quality Control measures are correctly developed, implemented, and monitored to support operation
- Manage renewals and contract amendments; Manage the budget and controls expenses effectively at assigned sites
- Ensures all work standards are met on a consistent basis by IST site employees
- Prepares and distributes management reports to the client in a timely and consistent manner
- Ensures maximization of productivity through efficient use of standard operating procedures
- Develops new procedures to improve the operation of the site(s) and to lower operating costs
- Manages, trains, and coaches employees and develops a work environment that promotes high motivation and customer satisfaction
- Works with Assistant Site Manager to ensure proper deploying of staff to uphold client and site needs
Qualifications
- Two to ten years’ experience managing facilities management accounts for law firms, colleges, facilities management companies and/or corporate accounts
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and familiarity with computer basics is preferred
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written with customers and other employees both one-on-one and during meetings
- Knowledge of supervisory techniques to manage, motivate and train employees
- Ability to prepare reports and present information to customers
- Must have attention to detail and critically think through and resolve problems
- Must have customer service skills and be able to maintain a consistent, high level of service
- Must have ability to multi-task, manage assigned accounts and establish priorities
- A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation to and from work
- Lifting up to 55 pounds; Standing for long periods of time; Significant walking
