About the Role
Serve as the Team Lead and primary point of contact for the location. Provide the Program Manager (PM) with metrics and quantitative values for required reporting. Deliver exceptional customer service to members of the Armed Forces, their families, civilians, and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with eligibility requirements, process applications, and determine eligibility.
- Provide products in requested formats using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Select appropriate methods from procedures or adapt interpretations from substantive guides and manuals, primarily the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guide.
- Perform tasks related to personnel accounting, IPPS-A, Military Personnel Files, Soldier Readiness Processing, Reassignment Processing, In/Out Processing, Enlisted Personnel Promotions, Personnel Actions, Personnel Manning, Transition Processing, Pre/Post Retirement Services, Casualty Assistance, IPPS-A Operations and Maintenance, and Training.
- Track and meet required deadlines for products, reports, and deliverables.
- Refer recognized problems to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Support service or customer service experience.
- Military background or familiarity preferred.
- Professional appearance appropriate for the position.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- General understanding and ability to perform basic tasks associated with Army Personnel Services.
- Ability to quickly learn new skills.
- Understanding and ability to perform basic tasks on Army Personnel Information Systems.
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English, including printed regulations, detailed written orders, operating procedures, and training materials.
- Must undergo a pre-employment criminal background check and favorable fingerprint check prior to accessing DEERS/RAPIDS equipment.
- Microsoft Office experience, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Previous Army 42A experience with a general understanding of Army personnel services support (preferred).
- May require understanding and ability to use IPPS-A.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass an extensive background investigation.
