On-Site Engineering Technician I

The Engineering Technician supports operational excellence by developing and maintaining labor standards, analyzing workflows, and implementing process improvements in a high-volume distribution environment. They collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Accounting teams to identify inefficiencies, optimize layouts, and enhance throughput and ergonomics. The role involves conducting time studies, validating standards, supporting incentive pay accuracy, and training managers on labor management systems. Responsibilities include leveraging CAD tools for space analysis, performing root cause analysis, documenting standard work, and supporting Lean and 5S initiatives. The technician analyzes production data to identify trends and recommends process changes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field (or relevant experience), proficiency in Microsoft Office and layout tools, and experience with time studies and lean principles.
