Responsibilities
As a Technician III, you'll use your expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment that keeps our customers' operations running safely and efficiently. You'll be a trusted technical resource, delivering exceptional service while helping build a culture where safety, quality, and teamwork come first.
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and perform preventive maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, drivetrains, brakes, steering, and lifting systems.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment issues, perform inspections, complete basic welding as needed, and ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and Briggs quality standards.
- Accurately document service work, maintain parts inventory, and keep your company vehicle, tools, and work area organized and ready for the job.
- Follow all safety requirements, complete technical training, provide technical guidance to teammates, and support service leadership with building a strong team.
Requirements
- Five or more years of forklift repair or related heavy equipment experience, along with outstanding mechanical and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
- A high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Trade school training and Hyster-Yale certifications are a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work independently while supporting teammates when needed.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, furnish your own tools, travel to customer locations, and participate in an on-call rotation as business needs require.
