About the Role

As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you can work as much or as little as you like, with a personalized schedule that varies depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking flexibility. You'll create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via our myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary when you choose to pick up a shift. Active engagement is required, including working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) and responding to our attempts to contact you. Failure to respond or work at least one shift within 5 months may result in administrative termination.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting, assisting, and thanking guests.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-ups.
• Support fulfillment services like Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry.
• Handle returns and de-escalate guest concerns following Target’s policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Stock supplies during store open hours while remaining available for guests.
• Support Cash Office processes and manage cash systems as needed.
• Comply with safety policies and report hazards.
• Work in varying temperatures and environments, including Drive-Up and carryout.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Active engagement by picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts.
• Ability to work at least one shift within 5 months to avoid administrative termination.
• Capability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally.
• Mobility to remain active throughout scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, including positive language and attentiveness to guest needs.
• Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Attention to detail while handling multiple tasks.
• Willingness to educate guests about products and services.
• Proficiency with handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Training

We provide comprehensive training to ensure you’re prepared for your role as a Guest Advocate. Key skills include communicating effectively, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and delivering exceptional guest service.

Pay

Starting Hourly Rate: $16.00 USD per hour
