Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services in coordination with the treatment team consistent with Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s Standards of Care.
• Provide clinical coaching to students and interns to facilitate development of clinical competency and ethical practice.
• Deliver substance use disorder treatment services to patients according to Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Represent Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation services to various audiences to ensure consistent knowledge about services, processes, and participation.
• Facilitate and demonstrate communication of patient information to internal and external resources while adhering to Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation policy, Federal Confidentiality (CFR 42), Health Information Portability and Privacy Act (CFR 45), and mandated reporting requirements.

For Substance Use Disorder Counselor 2:

• Manage a caseload with remarkable team collaboration and peer support.
• Receive individual weekly clinical supervision with an LCSW (for clinical hours) and group supervision with a highly trained, diverse, multidisciplinary team multiple times weekly.
• Prioritize ongoing professional development with relevant CEUs toward licensure/renewal at no cost.
• Access reduced tuition to the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies.
• Engage in leadership-supported DEI initiatives.

Requirements

Substance Use Disorder Counselor 1:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completed certificate/degree program in addiction counseling or equivalent.
• Current and active license: CA: LAADC, CADC, CATC, or SUDCC.
• CPR certification (from The American Heart Association or The American Red Cross) or attain within 30 days.
• Proficiency with technology and computer skills to document in an electronic health record system, attend virtual meetings, and manage Outlook emails and calendars.
• Must satisfactorily pass a state/license-specific background check.
• Two years of freedom from chemical use problems.

Substance Use Disorder Counselor 2:

• Master’s Degree.
• Current and active license: CA: LAADC, CADC, CATC, or SUDCC.
• Proficiency with technology and computer skills to document in an electronic health record system, attend virtual meetings, and manage Outlook emails and calendars.
• CPR certification (from The American Heart Association or The American Red Cross) or attain within 30 days.
• Willingness to obtain additional licensure per business need.
• Must satisfactorily pass a state/license-specific background check.
• Two years of freedom from chemical use problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Independent Mental Health License: LMSW, LPCC, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent.

Pay

USD $32.54 - USD $43.39 per hour.
