On Call Security Officer - Full Time

About the role

Officers will train and work at many different sites across the Greater Richmond Region, helping to make the world a safer place. The Security Officer position maintains a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises, patrolling various locations, preserving order, enforcing client regulations, and providing customer service and information to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites to ensure security and safety of property and personnel.
• Patrol premises and enforce regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
• Perform frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may involve long periods, climbing stairs, and walking on inclines or uneven terrain.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of security experience.
• Must possess DCJS certification (Armed or Unarmed).
• Ability to work all shifts.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Meet and maintain applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Pay

Wage range: $19.00–$22.00 per hour, with pay based on experience.
