On-Call Residential Assistant

About the role

The YCS Sawtelle Lawnridge Program in Orange, NJ provides intensive behavioral interventions for children, ages 5-21, with developmental and intellectual disabilities (including autism and co-occurring behavioral and/or mental health challenges) in a natural, home-like setting. The program is currently hiring for Residential Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Participating as a member of a therapeutic treatment team
• Becoming familiar with the residents' treatment goals
• Carrying out expected interventions
• Observation and documentation of success
• Identifying current or suggesting new, therapeutic goals which may require attention by the treatment team

Requirements

• A high school degree or equivalent
• 3 years of direct care experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in a behavioral health or institutional setting
• Valid driver's license
