On Call Maintenance Specialist

About the role

Devereux Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be part of a team that maintains a safe and homelike environment for students.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior building maintenance and repair tasks
• Safely use power tools and lawn equipment
• Handle tasks such as painting, carpentry, basic repairs (e.g., holes in walls, removing/replacing doors)
• Perform basic plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• MA License and Vehicle required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in interior building maintenance/repair strongly preferred
• Ability to lift 70 lbs required
• Must be able to attend a 2-day paid orientation, Monday and Tuesday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA

Pay

$21.50–$25.01 per hour, depending on experience and education.

Schedule

This is an on-call position, picking up shifts as needed in Rutland, MA.
