On-Call Home Health Aides (HHAs) — Nights & Weekends

Interim HealthCare of Clearwater is building a dependable pool of Home Health Aides to cover last‑minute caregiver call‑outs throughout Pinellas County. You choose your on‑call dates each month, stay reachable during assigned periods, and step in to provide one‑on‑one care when needed.

How It Works

• Choose your dates: Share your availability each month and coordinate assigned on‑call nights or weekends with our scheduling team.
• Stay available: During your assigned on‑call period, remain reachable and ready to accept last‑minute coverage.
• Step in when needed: Provide compassionate, one‑on‑one care for clients throughout Pinellas County.

This role is a commitment to be available for coverage during your selected dates. We’re looking for caregivers who respond promptly and reliably follow through when called.

Pay

• On‑call nights: $15 per assigned on‑call night.
• On‑call weekends: $100 per assigned on‑call weekend.
• When you work a coverage shift during your assigned on‑call period: your regular hourly rate plus an additional $1 per hour.
• Standby pay is earned for fulfilling your assigned on‑call commitment, even if no shift coverage is needed. If you are called in, shift pay is in addition to your standby pay.

Responsibilities

• Follow each client’s care plan and provide assistance within your training and qualifications.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and support that promote dignity and independence.
• Prepare meals, perform light housekeeping, and give medication reminders.
• Perform safe transfers and use mobility equipment as trained.
• Report changes or concerns to the care team and document care accurately.

Requirements

• Current Home Health Aide qualification with CPR certification.
• Prior caregiving experience; home care experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation to assignments throughout Pinellas County.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to respond promptly.
• Confidence working independently and adapting to different clients’ care needs.
• A compassionate attitude and a dependable commitment to your assigned availability.
