HHA (Home Health Aide) - Homecare Weekends

Pay

$13 - $18 per hour

Weekend position

Responsibilities

• Assist patient with plan of care tasks including baths, oral hygiene, dressing and undressing, toileting, feeding, etc.
• Take and record oral, rectal, and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate demonstrated competency).
• Use safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
• Implement exercise according to the plan of care.
• Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as ordered extensional therapy (with appropriate demonstrated competency).
• Handle patient’s laundry.
• Meet patient safety needs and use equipment safely (foot stools, side rails, etc.).
• Observe and teach home safety practices.
• Recognize emergency situations and know emergency management procedures.
• Follow the patient’s plan of care and complete all assigned tasks.
• Communicate constantly, clearly, and effectively with the client, family/caregiver, and office.
• Observe and document patient condition; report any changes to the assigned nurse supervisor.

Requirements

• Meet all training requirements per state and federal laws where applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care given.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification per state regulation.
• Provide PPD or chest x‑ray if applicable.
• Successfully complete Maxim screening examinations.
• Participate and complete Maxim’s competency program.
• Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
