On Call Home and PD Nurse

About the role

The Advanced RN HHD provides on-call care to patients who dialyze through our home HHD or PD program. You are their lifeline to assisting them with any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with technical issues related to their HHD or PD equipment.
• Provide infection control guidance to patients.
• Follow DaVita protocols and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Respond to patient care concerns and take 25-35 calls per shift.
• Troubleshoot and explain modality options and troubleshooting to patients.
• Participate in Kidney Smart Educator roles as a bonus.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of PD/HHD experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of proprietary software systems (Falcon, CWOW, Outlook, and Excel).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in all RN duties.
• Ability to think critically and plan solutions related to patient care.
• Experience working remotely, specifically on overnight and weekend shifts.

Skills

• Technical knowledge of HHD and PD equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of DaVita proprietary software systems.

Pay

The wage range for the role is $33.50 - $51.00/hour. Compensation depends on a number of factors, including qualifications, skills, and experience.

Schedule

The role is fully remote and works 3 shifts a week, including overnight shifts Monday-Friday from 5pm to 6am (hours can vary), and weekend shifts covering both day and night coverage.
