About the role

Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls
- Extinguish fires and safeguard lives and property
- Operate and maintain fire equipment and facilities
- Perform other crucial community safety tasks
Requirements
- Must live within Swanzey
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Pass an NFPA 1582 wellness evaluation
- Complete State of New Hampshire Firefighter One certification within 12 months of hire
While experience and certification are preferred, the fire department is open to training new members.
Pay
$13.24–$32.14 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
