On Call - Fire Science
Position Information
The number of on-call employees hired varies from semester-to-semester, depending on the needs of the department. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis and will remain in the applicant pool for up to one year of submission.
Job Summary
Responsible for delivering professional training and instruction to Fire Academy and Fire Fighter I/II students/recruits in full compliance with the State of Michigan and Schoolcraft College Policies and Procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree.
- Active State of Michigan Fire Fighter Training Division Instructor I Certification (exception may be made for CPAT and/or PT only work).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Current State of Michigan Fire Fighter Training Division Instructor II Certification.
Physical Requirements
Commensurate with State of Michigan Instructor Requirements.
Salary
$27-$30 per hour
