On-Call Concierge, Hope Lodge – Overnight & Weekends
for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We must preserve all substantive info, not invent or summarize away detail. Remove boilerplate like EEO, etc. Also remove duplicated lines, navigation, cookie, etc. Also remove application instructions. The posting includes: intro about ACS (mission). Then description of Concierge role. Then pay rate: $19.50/hour. Then 2 openings. Then schedule: on-call, as-needed, no guaranteed weekly hours, most coverage overnight shifts, occasional daytime/weekend based on vacancies, call-offs, staffing needs. Candidates should have flexibility to accept varying shifts as needed.
Then essential functions list (duties). Then experience/qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent, additional education/training in hospitality management or customer service is a plus, previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or related field preferred, minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
Then knowledge, skills, and ability: strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and multitask, proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems, excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends and overnight.
Then travel requirements: minimal travel required.
Physical requirements: extended standing/walking, occasional lifting, manual tasks, physical endurance.
Then benefits: ACS provides staff a generous paid time off policy; medical, dental, retirement benefits, wellness programs, and professional development programs to enhance staff skills. Further details on our benefits can be found on our careers site at: jobs.cancer.org/benefits.
We need to map these to sections.
We have:
- About the role: maybe the introductory paragraph about ACS and role description? The role description: "The Concierge serves as the first point of contact for guests, managing front desk operations and ensuring a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment. This role assists with guest check-in/out, responds to inquiries, and coordinates transportation and security." That's about the role.
- Responsibilities: essential functions list (duties). Could be under Responsibilities.
- Requirements: maybe experience/qualifications (education, experience). Could be Requirements.
- Qualifications: maybe knowledge, skills, and ability? Or we could combine. But we need to follow headings list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule.
We need to decide what goes where. The posting includes "EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:" and "KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:" So we could map:
- Requirements: Experience/Qualifications (education, experience).
- Qualifications: maybe the knowledge, skills, and ability? Or we could treat Qualifications as the same as Requirements? But we need to avoid duplication. Perhaps we put Requirements for education/experience, Qualifications for knowledge/skills/abilities, and Skills maybe not needed if we already have Qualifications. But we need to include Skills only if there is specific content. The posting includes "Strong communication and interpersonal skills..." etc. That's skills. So we could put Skills section for that.
- Benefits: benefits description.
- Pay: pay rate.
- Schedule: schedule details.
- About the role: intro.
- Responsibilities: essential functions.
We must not create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". We have actual content for each.
Now we need to output HTML fragment only, using for each section heading, then content: either
for prose,
- for lists.
We need to preserve all substantive information. Let's extract.
About the role: combine the mission intro and role description? The mission intro: "At the American Cancer Society, we're working to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Our employees and 1.3 million volunteers are raising the bar every single day. We are a culture comprised of diverse backgrounds and experience, to better serve our communities. The people who work at the American Cancer Society focus their diverse talents on our lifesaving mission. It is a calling. And the people who answer it are fulfilled." That's about the organization, not strictly role but could be considered About the role? Might be considered general. The instruction: "Use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." So About the role likely expects description of the role, not the org mission. But we can include both as it's substantive. However we must not repeat the job title as a heading. That's fine. We could put About the role: the description of the Concierge role: "The Concierge serves as the first point of contact for guests, managing front desk operations and ensuring a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment. This role assists with guest check-in/out, responds to inquiries, and coordinates transportation and security." We could also include the mission statement as part of About the role? Might be okay but could be considered filler? It's substantive about the organization. I'd include it as part of About the role. Responsibilities: essential functions list with percentages. We need to preserve percentages? The posting includes percentages in parentheses after each duty. We should keep them. So list items: "Greet guests and manage check-in and check-out procedures (30%)", etc. Requirements: experience/qualifications: "High School Diploma or Equivalent", "Additional education or training in hospitality management or customer service is a plus.", "Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field is preferred.", "Minimum 1 year of Customer Service Experience". We'll put as list. Qualifications: maybe we could treat as knowledge, skills, and ability? But we have a separate Skills heading. Let's assign: - Qualifications: maybe the "KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:" heading? Actually that is knowledge, skills, and ability. Could be Qualifications. But we also have Skills heading. To avoid duplication, we could put Qualifications for the knowledge, skills, and ability (including communication, multitask, proficiency, customer service, flexible hours). Then Skills maybe not needed. But we need to decide. The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So we could combine Qualifications and Skills into one section? But we have headings list; we can omit sections if no real specific content. So we could omit Skills if we put those under Qualifications. However the heading list includes Skills as an example, but we can omit if not needed. The instruction: "include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text". So we can omit Skills if we decide its content is covered elsewhere. But we need to ensure we don't lose any substantive content. If we put the knowledge, skills, and ability under Qualifications, we still have all content. Then we can omit Skills. Alternatively, we could put Requirements for education/experience, Qualifications for knowledge/skills/abilities, and Skills for something else (maybe none). But we have no other skills beyond those. So better to combine. Thus sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to check if we need to include Travel Requirements and Physical Requirements. Those are substantive; where to put? Could be under Requirements or Qualifications? They are not exactly experience/qualifications but could be under Requirements (maybe as subheading). But we have only headings list; we could add them under Requirements as part of list? Or we could create a separate section? Not in the list. The instruction says to use those headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but says use
for section headings (e.g. those). Likely we should stick to those headings only. So we need to fit travel and physical requirements somewhere. Could be under Requirements (as additional requirements) or Qualifications. Let's put them under Requirements as bullet points. Thus Requirements will include education, experience, travel, physical. Qualifications will include knowledge, skills, ability (communication, multitask, proficiency, customer service, flexible hours). Now Benefits: we have description. Pay: $19.50/hour. Schedule: on-call, as-needed, no guaranteed weekly hours, most coverage overnight shifts, occasional daytime/weekend based on vacancies, call-offs, staffing needs. Candidates should have flexibility to accept varying shifts as needed. We also have "There are 2 openings available for this position." That's substantive; where to put? Could be under About the role or maybe under Pay/Schedule? Probably under About the role as additional info. We'll include in About the role paragraph. Now we need to remove boilerplate: EEO, equal opportunity, etc. Also remove "We are a proud equal opportunity employer." Remove that line. Also remove "Further details on our benefits can be found on our careers site at: jobs.cancer.org/benefits." That's a link; we might keep as part of Benefits? It's a reference; we could keep as part of Benefits prose. It's not boilerplate; it's a link to benefits details. Keep. Also remove "ACS provides staff a generous paid time off policy; medical, dental, retirement benefits, wellness programs, and professional development programs to enhance staff skills." That's benefits. Now we need to format. Let's craft HTML:
