On Call Case Manager (Per Diem) - MRSS

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in social work or a related field
• Valid driver’s license

Duties and Abilities

• Responds to dispatches after business hours
• Supports the first person on call (full time staff of the MRSS program)
• Provides crisis de-escalation/intervention, and safety planning to families and children
• Works with families and children experiencing escalating behavioral, emotional issues
• Length of service ranges from 72 hours to up to 8 weeks
• Services are determined according to the families' individualized service needs
• Responsibility ends at the end of scene when the family is stable
• Must respond to calls within one hour of receiving information
• Services provided 24/7/365 days a year
• Travels to the site of the crisis in agency-owned cars

Program Details

Catholic Charities’ Mobile Response program, based in Jersey City, New Jersey, provides families with counseling, guidance, and referral services to address juvenile crises and help stabilize and preserve the family unit. The program addresses juvenile behavioral problems such as truancy, chronic runaways, family disputes, and curfew violations. Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, to help children and youth experiencing emotional or behavioral crises.
