On Call Banquet Server
About the role
Mandarin Oriental, Boston is looking for an On-Call Banquet Server to join our Banquets team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years' experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel property, reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language, and be willing to work a flexible on-call schedule to include weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service at all times to our guests.
- Set up tables as per brand standard.
- Professionally deliver correct orders to guest tables.
- Efficiently clear tables between courses throughout the event.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to all requests with urgency.
- Communicate with the kitchen for any guests’ special request and dietary requirements.
- Prepare the pantry and assigned side station with sufficient Mise en Place.
- Maintain back of the house areas, ensuring they are neat, tidy, clean, and safe.
- Continuously monitor assigned section for maximum guest satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
We expect from you a growth mindset, embracing a culture of integrity and respect, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Must have the ability to walk and stand for the majority of shift, lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic operation.
Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred but not required.

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $17.45 plus gratuity.
