About the role
The On-Air Scheduling Coordinator maintains on-air play-out schedules and serves as the direct point of contact between on-air operations, commercial operations, and program operations to ensure playlists are scheduled properly for air.
Responsibilities
- Maintains air-ready schedules and program formats for play-out across cable, broadcast, digital, and linear properties using the firm’s proprietary scheduling systems.
- Coordinates the scheduling and reprocessing of quick-turnaround primetime programming to provide a complete 24/7 continuous schedule across all networks and channels.
- Performs traffic compares and makes scheduling or formatting changes due to programming changes, traffic adjustments, or operational needs of the Network Operations Center (NOC).
- Schedules program clearances by organizing and distributing all orders to 248 owned and affiliate stations.
- Understands and uses technical programs including TLL, Webscheduler, OTTO, Wide Orbit, Sintec, and Streetlite.
- Executes contingency scheduling for sports replays such as JIPs, filler programming, and sliding schedules to bring networks back on time.
- Validates Webscheduler playlists for reliable resource and hardware assignments prior to play-out.
- Assists with troubleshooting as needed.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in a 24/7 broadcast operation preferred.
- Previous experience with broadcast automation systems preferred.
- Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT (onsite).
- Must have open availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite: Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to quickly learn new software applications and scheduling systems.
- Knowledge or ability to learn broadcast scheduling platforms such as TLL, Webscheduler, OTTO, Wide Orbit, Sintec, and Streetlite.
- Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, team-oriented environment.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Pay
$24–25/hr
