Responsibilities
- Aid in processing purchase orders and tracking order statuses.
- Maintain accurate records, file documents, and update purchasing databases.
- Review invoices, packing slips, and receiving documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules.
- Track outstanding orders and follow up with vendors on delayed shipments.
- Assist with inventory counts and control projects.
- Support month-end inventory and purchasing audits.
- Organize and maintain purchasing files, contracts, and supplier documentation.
- Research products, obtain quotes, and compare pricing from approved vendors.
- Collaborate with the purchasing staff to ensure proper documentation and inventory procedures are followed.
- Participate in special projects and administrative tasks to support the Purchasing Department.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college, university, or vocational program in Business, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous office, hospitality, or inventory experience (not required).
