Responsibilities

  • Aid in processing purchase orders and tracking order statuses.
  • Maintain accurate records, file documents, and update purchasing databases.
  • Review invoices, packing slips, and receiving documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Track outstanding orders and follow up with vendors on delayed shipments.
  • Assist with inventory counts and control projects.
  • Support month-end inventory and purchasing audits.
  • Organize and maintain purchasing files, contracts, and supplier documentation.
  • Research products, obtain quotes, and compare pricing from approved vendors.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing staff to ensure proper documentation and inventory procedures are followed.
  • Participate in special projects and administrative tasks to support the Purchasing Department.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college, university, or vocational program in Business, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Previous office, hospitality, or inventory experience (not required).
