About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for a new or early-career clinician to develop their skills in a structured, supportive, and mission-driven environment at our Outpatient Mental Health Center (OMHC). The Children's Guild is a nonprofit organization and affiliate of TranZed Alliance, providing evidence-based, trauma-informed outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and families across Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents experiencing mental health, behavioral, and trauma-related challenges
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions (e.g., CBT, TF-CBT, play therapy) under clinical supervision
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with COMAR, HIPAA, and agency standards
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, school staff, and community providers to coordinate care
  • Engage families as active, essential partners in the therapeutic process
  • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
  • Support crisis assessment and safety planning as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (required)
  • Graduate licensure in Maryland or D.C. (LMSW, LCSW, LGPC or equivalent); candidates awaiting licensure welcome to apply
  • Genuine passion for working with children, adolescents, and families with diverse mental health needs
  • Basic knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic modalities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
