Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, treats, and helps individuals prevent communication and swallowing disorders
• Provides consultant services for treatment planning and evaluation
• Provides appropriate follow-up regarding staff training and therapy

Requirements

• Possess a license and current registration as a speech language pathologist in New York State or certification in speech-language pathology by ASHA
• Fingerprint, SEL, SCR, SAM, Medicare, and Medicaid background checks
• Vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and influenza
• Complete OMH-required training (New Employee Orientation and TRUST; training will be provided by OMH)
