About the Role

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP, FNP, AGNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Therapy team in Nebraska. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
  • Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
  • Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
  • Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

  • Licensed in Nebraska by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
  • Licensed by the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA).
  • Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees).
  • One year of Geri Psych Experience.
  • One year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent written communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, organized, and functions under stressful situations.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
