Operations Supply Chain – Principal within the Operations Practice Group. We collaborate with clients across industries to optimize operations, enhance delivery and cost efficiency, and position them as market leaders. Our Supply Chain capability develops innovative solutions to elevate supply chain performance and outcomes. We support clients across the end-to-end supply chain—from raw materials to production, distribution, and services—helping them gain visibility, resolve critical issues, and maximize value to compete globally. Projects often begin with strategic questions, but our engagements extend beyond presentations to build client capabilities and upskill teams for agility and independent collaboration. Our toolkit includes AI-driven forecasting platforms, machine learning tools, and proven methodologies, combined with deep project expertise.
Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of individual project workstreams, including developing hypotheses; managing data collection, model creation and analyses; conducting primary and secondary research; creatively addressing information limitations; and surfacing insights
- Synthesize findings into written presentations and review with clients and stakeholders
- Support the Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high-quality execution
Desired Skills and Experience
Operational
- Operations experience in discrete or continuous manufacturing industries
- Experience across the operations value chain—product development, planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution—with depth in at least one area
- Experience leading or participating in operations improvement initiatives
General
- Strong curiosity and continuous learning mindset
- Strong problem structuring and analytical skills
- Strategic thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in teams and lead others
- Refined written communication and oral presentation skills
Desired Capabilities
- Experience with supply chain optimization tools and IT-enablement preferred
- Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP), American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS / ISCM), or Institute for Supply Management (ISM)
- Experience with proposal development and strong commercial instincts
Work History
- Experience with a top-tier management consulting firm preferred
- 4–7+ years of consulting experience in operations—within industry and/or consulting firms

Pay
The applicable base salary range for this role is $250,000 to $265,000. Base pay is determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
Schedule
This role is based in Chicago, New York, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Washington, D.C., Toronto, or San Francisco. Oliver Wyman is committed to hybrid work, combining remote flexibility with the collaboration and professional development benefits of in-office work. Colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week for full-team in-person collaboration.
