About the role

Join Old Forester Distillery as a Guest Services Team Member I. Take on a variety of responsibilities including leading tours, managing front desk operations, assisting in George’s Bar, and working in the gift shop.

Responsibilities

• Tour Guide - Deliver 2-3, 75-minute walking tours of the distillery daily, conduct public and private tours, answer questions about the distillery and its history, and manage guest counts and demographic breakouts.
• Guest Services Coordinator - Serve as the first point of contact, greet guests, process tickets, verify guest identification, communicate confirmed tour sizes, and resolve guest concerns.
• Tour Operations Assistant - Ensure tasting rooms are set according to guidelines, monitor tour guide timing, clean dishes, and pre-set tasting room carts.
• George’s Bar - Serve and educate guests on flight and cocktail offerings, process payment for drinks, and clear tables between guests.
• Retail - Educate guests on gift shop products, restock shelves, and work retail register as necessary.

Requirements

• Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience - Minimum one year in hospitality, retail, or spirits/wine industry
• Schedule - Flexible, Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM, with some evening and holiday availability
• Skills - Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, ability to provide exceptional customer service, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, physically capable of standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 40 lbs
