Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and maintain pumps and mechanical production equipment.
- Work on positive displacement pumps, triplex pumps, charge pumps, volute pumps, stack pumps, and related equipment.
- Diagnose pump failures, leaks, vibration, pressure issues, and other mechanical problems.
- Replace mechanical seals, impellers, bearings, packing, gaskets, and other pump components.
- Change out and install motors and other mechanical drive equipment.
- Remove, install, and align pumps and motors.
- Change, repair, and maintain valves and related piping components.
- Perform pump rebuilds and equipment repairs in the field.
- Inspect equipment and identify worn or failing components before equipment failure occurs.
- Respond to field equipment breakdowns and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Complete accurate maintenance and equipment repair records.
- Work closely with Foremen and Operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous oil & gas, pump, mechanical, or maintenance experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with pumps and mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of positive displacement pumps, triplex pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment.
- Experience changing mechanical seals, impellers, and bearings.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong safety mindset; comfortable working independently.
- Reliable, driven, and team-oriented.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
