Oil Lab Technician

About the role

Shermco Industries is seeking an Oil Lab Technician to receive, prepare, and analyze oil samples to assess equipment condition and lubricant performance. The role supports predictive maintenance and reliability programs through accurate documentation and communication of test results.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing on oil samples.
• Record and review test results to evaluate equipment condition and lubricant performance.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Accurately document findings and communicate results to support maintenance programs.
• Follow established testing procedures with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Pass a fit-for-duty physical exam when required.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.
• Pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without employer-sponsored visa (work permit).
• Willingness to travel.

Pay

USD $35.00 - USD $40.00 per hour.
