Pay: $28.00/hr – Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (Must be available for overtime and occasional weekend support)
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls.
- Install, wire, terminate, and test electrical and control wiring for facility equipment.
- Install and replace control devices, sensors, actuators, panels, and related components.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automated control systems to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Support operation and maintenance of air handling units (AHUs), chillers, exhaust systems, VAVs, dampers, pumps, heat exchangers, and dust collection systems.
- Assist with commissioning, qualification, validation, and startup activities for facility equipment.
- Update control drawings, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
- Complete work orders and preventive maintenance activities through CMMS systems.
- Support facility improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and change control activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, facilities, maintenance, production, contractors, and vendors to ensure reliable plant operations.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and control drawings.
- Follow all GMP, safety, and facility procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree, apprenticeship, HVAC certification, or related training preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or facility automation.
- Experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food production, or other regulated environment preferred.
- Experience with BAS platforms such as Siemens, BACnet, or similar systems.
- Working knowledge of AHUs, chilled water systems, hot water systems, VAVs, pumps, heat exchangers, and facility utilities.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and controls troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, automated control systems, and electrical testing equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems; SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Preferred Experience
- GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Equipment validation and qualification activities.
- Preventive maintenance planning and documentation.
- Change control and SOP documentation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to work in both manufacturing and mechanical environments.
- Ability to lift equipment and perform physically demanding maintenance activities as needed.
