About the role

An established Oil & Gas Consultancy Company specializing in Subsea Engineering is currently recruiting for the position of Accountant to support its expanding operations in Nigeria. The company is seeking a qualified, experienced, and detail-oriented professional to join its finance team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and post daily accounting entries
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flows
• Prepare budgets, financial reports, and monthly cash flow statements
• Support audits, tax filings, and month/year-end closing processes

Requirements

• Proactive accountant with strong knowledge of financial management
• Experience in the oil and gas or engineering services sector preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in accounting software
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or equivalent
• CPA certification preferred

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Benefits

Salary range: ₦500,000 – ₦700,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications)
