OHSU Marquam Hill Garage B Attendant

Responsibilities

• Runs a very active Marquam Hill patient/employee parking lot
• Ensures appropriate number of cars are kept on location
• Parks cars in an appropriate fashion and keeps the lot clean and presentable
• Directs incoming customers to available parking spaces
• Counts vehicles on location as needed
• Issues violation warnings to tenants and visitors who violate garage policies
• Patrols transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts
• Assists customers that have forgotten where they parked their vehicle
• Provides assistance to customers that have questions
• Controls traffic at entrances and exits as needed
• Assists in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and performs general maintenance tasks
• Reports any known accidents, violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager
• Communicates debris, water, oil spills, and other issues to the garage office
• Substitutes for valets when necessary, if authorized
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area
• Assists the Facility Manager with other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• A valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record, if expected to drive a company vehicle or drive on company business
• Availability to work special shifts, if required
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and use units of American money
• Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment, sit, climb, balance, lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• Appearance must be neat and clean, and employees must be in complete uniform at all times
• Knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area of the garage

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
