As an Offshore Pre Assembly Technical Field Advisor, you will be part of a permanently employed team dedicated to the pre-assembly of wind turbine projects in line with safety guidelines, project requirements, corporate methods, and industry legislative standards. Based in Orlando, USA, you may be deployed to projects worldwide, including EU and APAC. This role offers variety, learning and development opportunities, and an exceptional team culture. Responsibilities

  • Ensure work is conducted according to defined workflow and work instructions, and be familiar with the work package (Scope of Work).
  • Report any turbine-related issues upwards as required by company policy.
  • Maintain and drive company safety procedures on site.
  • Advise small to medium-sized contractor teams on specific tasks within the pre-assembly scope and ensure optimal use of team competencies for both standard and non-standard work.
  • Advise on troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, or system malfunctions, ensuring work aligns with defined workflow and work instructions.
  • Mentor and share knowledge within your area of responsibility, drive development of trainees, and provide feedback.
  • Support on-job-training as requested and maintain logbooks where required.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in all aspects of Wind Turbine Installation, including slinging, signaling, mechanical completion, retrofit, and snagging works.
  • Knowledge of Low Voltage Electrical systems and isolation procedures (a recognized qualification is an advantage but not essential).
  • High level of Health and Safety focus with experience working with safe systems of work.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, with confidence to work at height.
  • Physical fitness to climb and undertake physical work, and comfort working in adverse weather conditions.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Ability and willingness to frequently travel within the United States, Canada, and occasionally internationally (flexible travel schedule up to 100%).
  • High level of IT literacy, including using digital technology, communications tools, and networks.
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

Pay

The base salary range for this position varies by location: $55,000 - $65,000. Specific offers are determined by factors such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on individual qualifications.

Schedule

This role follows a shift pattern and requires a flexible approach to travel, including working away from home on a continuing basis.
