Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Check all information on the production order and complete quality checks on each job.
• Ensure the correct stock is being sheeted according to the production order(s).
• Check sheet length, width, grain, and caliber, and inspect for paper surface defects.
• Communicate with the previous shift operator before starting each shift.
• Adjust, change, and sharpen blades as necessary.
• Perform preventive maintenance on the machine as scheduled.
• Maintain production schedules for the sheeter and prepare make-ready sheets to the job size.
• Ensure the safe operation of the machine and maintain sheeter crew safety.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the equipment and work area.
• Operate in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Occasionally work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Good visual acuity to detect paper defects, particularly in a viewing booth.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills, including data entry into Windows-based computers and company inventory systems.
• The ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to ensure high-quality products.
• Drug screening required after receiving a conditional job offer.
