About the role

The GAEC Hay is seeking an apprentice to prepare a BTSa ACS’AGRI in an apprenticeship program. The farm is a human-scale structure (2 partners + 1 apprentice) with 415 hectares, including a Charolais beef herd of 190 cows in finishing, processed at the abattoir of Bressuire. Cultivated areas consist of cereals (65 ha), maize silage irrigated (20 ha), and grassland for the herd's feed. The location is La Violière – Noirterre, 79300 Bressuire. This diversified and complete operation is ideal for a solid training in beef production and large-scale farming.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the Charolais beef herd
• Support the cultivation of cereals and maize silage
• Manage the grassland for the herd’s feed
• Participate in the maintenance of farm equipment

Requirements

• Interest in agriculture and livestock farming
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of French and English (optional)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Interest in agricultural studies
