Summary Statement

Create a safe environment for staff and guests. Adhere to all rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests. Maintain high levels of customer service and communication skills.

Primary Job Duties

  • Report any incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations.
  • Uphold the law and order in the venue in conjunction with local law enforcement.
  • Administer first aid and assist injured guests or team members.
  • Address all guest questions and furnish detailed information on the venue.
  • Communicate via radio.
  • Respond professionally and rationally in emergency and pressure situations.
  • Restrain intoxicated, disorderly, or insubordinate guests or remove them from premises.
  • Respond to calls for service, evaluate the situation, work towards a successful resolution, and communicate status with management.
  • Respond to incidents where there are threats or acts of violence against either patrons or employees and detain individuals if necessary, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.

  • Maintain security and crowd control in areas of operation and report any potential or actual security violations to management and Security Communications Center (SCC); request additional security support as needed.
  • Check the identification of Guests and follow all responsible vending guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Employ with safe alcohol service, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communicate effectively in English.
  • Show polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Show excellent customer service skills.
  • Obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Previous experience working in day clubs or nightclubs.
  • Previous experience working in large, luxury resort settings.
  • Minimum education and experience: Must be 21 years old, have at least one year of previous security experience in high-volume restaurants, nightclubs, day clubs, pool operations, or similar fields.
  • Preferred: Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Physical Demands

  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • Prolonged sitting/standing.
  • Bending and reaching.
  • Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to read and print legibly.
  • Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations.
  • Must be able to move quickly.
  • Must be able to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
  • Must comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS), and other instructions.
